This image shows an adult male, standing to the left gazing at a large, open futuristic-looking device on the right. The device resembles a gigantic, high-tech computer or server with a vivid blue glow, and its side panel is open to reveal intricate electronic components, including cables, screens, and a prominent circular feature that could be a cooling system or part of the machinery. They are both indoors, in a large workshop with industrial shelving and various items in the background. The person is dressed in a dark blue shirt, jeans, and black shoes, suggesting a casual professional setting. The overall atmosphere of the image conveys a sense of innovation and technology.

This image shows a sculptural art piece resembling a human head, created with a mosaic of earth-toned materials, resembling cracked clay. The sculpture is adorned with a variety of leaves, twigs and flowers, giving the impression of hair and decoration. These botanical elements have autumnal hues, such as browns, yellows, and greens, adding a natural and organic feel to the piece. The sculpture rests on a wooden table and is set against a background featuring a meadow with evergreen trees in the distance. The craftsmanship suggests a connection between art and nature.

This image features a futuristic building with a striking organic design, set on its own island with a backdrop of mountains and a calm sea during what appears to be sunset. The structure has smooth, flowing lines and is composed of interconnected lobes with translucent, colorful facades that glow in hues of pink, orange, and white. Palm trees and figures of people can be seen around the building, providing a sense of scale and suggesting the building is a public space. Reflections of the structure shimmer on the water’s surface, enhancing the impression of a serene, otherworldly setting.

This is an image of a stylized travel poster displayed on a wall. The poster features layered mountain landscapes with varying shades of blue and green, and an orange and yellow sun setting or rising in the background. At the bottom, there's a small red structure that resembles a traditional Asian pagoda. The poster has a retro minimalist design aesthetic with the title "TRAVEL" at the top in large, bold lettering. The poster is framed and hung on a blue wall, flanked on the left by a tall, dark vase with dried reeds and on the right by a potted plant with broad green leaves resting on a stack of hardcover books. The colours and composition suggest a serene and inviting scene.

About Me

My name is Teresa Cowley, a visually impaired (but not blind) graphic designer and digital artist from Victoria BC. I started out in about 2001 designing posters for my local community centre with the mentorship of a former staff member who had a background in graphic design. I eventually went from informal mentorship and self learned techniques to winning awards for some of my work.
