Social media can be a daunting landscape for artists and creators, especially when it starts feeling like a chore rather than a joyful pursuit. The pressure to build a presence and establish credibility can sometimes overshadow the pure enjoyment of sharing your creativity with the world. I often find myself in this very predicament, struggling to stay consistent and inspired. But then, I stumbled upon a delightful solution – the Artober Challenge!

Discovering the Artober Challenge

I had heard about Inktober on Instagram, but drawing wasn’t my primary focus. I yearned for a challenge that resonated with my art style and interests. It was about 12 days into October at this point, but better late than never as they say. A quick Google search led me to Artober, a gem hidden amidst the plethora of art challenges available. Intrigued, I decided to give it a shot. With multiple prompt lists to choose from, I picked one that spoke to me and embarked on this exciting journey of daily creativity.

Artober's Appeal

The Artober Challenge offers a wide array of prompts and themes, allowing artists to tailor their experience to their unique tastes and preferences. For me, it was the perfect way to infuse some fun back into my social media routine. One of my favorite prompt lists was curated by the talented artist known as Kate Farr. Rekindling the Joy of Posting

Artober breathed new life into my social media presence. What was once a tedious chore has now become a source of inspiration and enthusiasm. I look forward to each day’s prompt, eager to dive into my art and share it with my followers. It’s no longer about building my online presence for the sake of it; it’s about enjoying the process, embracing creativity, and connecting with like-minded artists and art enthusiasts.

Making the Most of My Art

As I journey through Artober, I’ve realized the potential for growth and engagement that social media can offer. In particular, I’ve been exploring ways to turn my daily Artober creations into engaging reels. These short video clips not only showcase my art but also could provide a dynamic and captivating way to connect with my audience. Finding the best approach to creating these reels has been an exciting learning experience, and it’s added another layer of enjoyment to the challenge. I’m still working on how I want to go about this.

A Tip for Artists and Creators

If you’re an artist or designer struggling with the grind of consistent posting on social media, I highly recommend diving into art challenges like Artober. These challenges are not only fun but also reinvigorate your love for your craft. And it’s not just for artists; photographers and anyone seeking to build a consistent online presence can find similar solace in photo or video scavenger hunts. The key is to make social media posting enjoyable rather than an obligation. Artober has certainly helped me achieve just that.

Finding Joy in Social Media through Artober

My journey with Artober has been a revitalizing experience, proving that social media doesn’t have to be a chore. By participating in this art challenge, I’ve rekindled the joy of sharing my creativity with the world. If you’re struggling with consistency on social media or simply looking for a way to make your online presence more enjoyable, consider diving into an art challenge like Artober. Embrace the art, the community, and the fun it brings to your digital world.
