I’m Teresa Cowley, an award-winning digital artist and graphic designer from Vancouver Island, Canada. I specialize in digital collage, abstract art, and surface design, bringing a unique touch to everything I create. I also have a deep love for experimenting with fantasy art, which allows my imagination to explore new creative realms.

In my artistic process, I often incorporate AI art tools, finding inspiration in the unexpected results these technologies can produce. This blend of technology and creativity enables me to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and discover new possibilities.

I’m passionate about storytelling through visual art, and I’m dedicated to crafting beautiful and unique designs that resonate with viewers. My work reflects my commitment to innovation, always striving to explore the intersection of art and technology.

“Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.” – Colin Powell

A reminder that a positive mindset can amplify our impact. Staying hopeful even in challenging times can bring unexpected strength.

The background was made in Procreate.

One of my Procreate creations—a fluid acrylic paint pour style painting with one of my custom inky brush textures. The cells you often see in acrylic pours are made with a custom brush by Alaina Jensen. I love using fluid effects along with unique patterns and textures in my work. It feels both calming and exciting to me.

This is one of my paintings done in Procreate. The Illustration was drawn using a photo reference, I prefer using loose, simple lines to allow the texture of my custom inky abstract brush and the colour below to show through.

This came up in my Facebook memories. Ten years ago already. My Taste The Tube map! It’s a unique spin on the London Underground map that replaces the station names with the taste/texture of the words for someone who can taste words (a type of synesthesia). I designed the logo for the project. The idea was to have something food related in the style of the London Underground logo. Close enough to be recognizable yet not so close to infringe on copyright. It was a fun project to work on!

This started out with an agate slice in mind, but the piece had other ideas. The fluid art technique in Procreate and some play with the liquify tool transformed it into something unexpected—a fantasy fireball, perhaps. Sometimes the process takes you to surprising places. Still learning and loving every step. 🔥

Taking a leap into the unpredictable—these images were born from an experimental approach with Procreate, where I played around with a chaotic, hand-painted background to test some custom brush ideas. The real surprise came when I ran the background through DECIM8, a glitch art app, which turned the chaos into these intricate, almost architectural patterns. It’s fascinating to see how disorder can be transformed into something structured and visually compelling. Sometimes, the mess holds more potential than we expect.
