Exciting Updates: Soaring Website Traffic, Scam Alerts, and New Artistic Adventures
Hi, everyone! It’s been a while since my last update, and I really should be writing these more often. Though my art journey is currently a bit slow, I still want to check in with you all. So here are some highlights!
Artist Website Traffic Soaring to New Heights!
The title might be a bit dramatic, but it’s been exciting to see the number of visitors growing over the past few months! Thank you to everyone who has visited and enjoyed my posts. Your support is much appreciated. My analytics are non invasive so your privacy is safe here.
I’ve been thinking about what caused the increase in website visitors, and I believe it has a lot to do with consistently sharing my posts on LinkedIn on a regular basis recently. Google views LinkedIn as a high domain authority website.
When you have links to your website or blog posts on high domain authority sites like LinkedIn, search engines may rank your content higher in search results. If you’re an artist or designer looking to improve your search results, I highly recommend creating a LinkedIn profile if you don’t already have one and sharing your content there.
Flyer Art Gallery Scam Alert
Although my focus is on art and graphic design, I think it’s important to spread the word about scams, which is why I cover them. I was approached by Floriano Massera of Flyer Art Gallery on Instagram about exhibiting my work at their gallery. Something felt off so I did some Googling.
There’s not much information online about Flyer Art Gallery, other than it being in Italy and a brief “about” blurb. A lack of information and reviews is a huge red flag—there isn’t even one Google review. I did find a few mentions online that it’s a scam.
Floriano Massera came across as rather pushy and unprofessional in his attempts to get me to sign up for an exhibition. Additionally, the Flyer Art Gallery website doesn’t mention any past or present shows. Some of the buttons on the site don’t work, which could indicate a fake website.
Procreate Explorations and Rediscovering Krita
Lately, I’ve become more interested in incorporating painted, stamped, and other mixed media art into my collage work. I haven’t drawn or painted anything for many years (I mainly do digital collage), so it’s going to take time to find my style. I love the natural-looking drawing and painting mediums in both Procreate and Krita.
Currently, I’m enjoying creating layered abstract backgrounds with Procreate. It also makes it easy to create stamps from images. I have so many ideas for stamps I want to create, especially ones that will add unique or unusual textures and details.
Krita is also great for abstract painting. Both apps have a large selection of brushes, with even more available for download or creation. There’s a set for Krita that gives the effect of thick oil paint, which looks incredibly realistic, including 3D brushstrokes! Krita also has a wraparound canvas mode, which is fantastic for surface pattern designers. You can effortlessly create seamless patterns and textures!
That’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed the highlights! See you next week!

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My site has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either
created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of
it is popping it up all over the internet without my
authorization. Do you know any solutions to help reduce content from being ripped off?
I’d genuinely appreciate it.

Hello there. I’m sorry this has been happening to you. I use WordPress for my site which has a number of plugins that prevent content copying. Have a look and see if there’s one that fits your needs. If you’re using another platform, look through your settings and see if there’s any settings that can help prevent copying. If not, contact support and ask if they have any advice. If you have a developer that handles your site for you, have them look into it for you. I hope this helps!
