Journey into Weekly Blogging: Updates, Thoughts on AI Art & Future Plans

Updates Future Plans and AI Art
Feeling excited to share some updates and my future plans with all of you! From new projects to personal goals, I can't wait to take you on this journey with me.

Although it’s been some time since my last update, it’s certainly not due to a lack of effort or dedication. Rather, significant developments worthy of an update have been sparse recently. Recognizing the importance of these posts in keeping you all informed and connected to my work, I hope to have more to share with you going forward. Bear with me as I strive to improve on this aspect and bring you more regular insights into my ongoing projects.

My Blogging Efforts are Paying Off!

Last February, I decided to commit to posting at least once a week. And I’m happy to report that so far, I’ve stuck to that goal. Because of the work I put in, website traffic has increased greatly. It’s gone from very few visitors during a given month, to often multiple visitors per day! I’m proud of myself for sticking with this goal and excited to continue to keep my blog active.

Pro tip: if you have a website and/or blog, make sure you add detailed descriptions to your blog categories if you haven’t. It does help with your website SEO. I’ve noticed an improvement in traffic after I started to work on mine.

Finding Patterns in the Unusual

Unique Animal and Zebra Print Experimental Pattern
Embracing the wild side with this unique animal and zebra print experimental pattern. Who said art and design couldn't roam free? Stay tuned for more creative adventures!

I’ve been doing a lot of experimentation with patterns a lot lately. Mainly animal print but with a very big twist. The idea is to have it mix with swirls or flowing lines of colour and blend with something like a leaf, for example.

I’m hoping to produce a unique series of wearable art for my LeGaleriste shop. It’s been taking some time to come up with the right looks though. I have a couple of them up on my shop. Check them out! There will be more as things progress so stay tuned.

Addressing Some of the AI Art Negativity

As technology advances, there is debate surrounding the use of AI in the art and creative world. Contrary to the belief of some, AI can be used to inspire and hone creative skills – it is not a “snapshot” approach. Meaning instant results with no effort involved.

I use it as part of my creative process and I can say there is so much more to it than writing a few words and pressing a button. With a carefully written prompt, AI can be a tool to help enhance artistry and creativity when guided to a specific outcome. We must not forget that technology and creativity can coexist.

Things I’m Thinking About for 2024

This year has been about building up my blog as a foundation for more. I plan on adding a shop next year with wall art and other offerings. I do love LeGaleriste and will still make wearable art with them but I realize it’s not for everyone.

Making posters and other wall art has been a huge interest of mine ever since I started to dabble with and learn about digital art and graphic design. I’ve definitely missed this type of art and I’m excited to get back to it.

This image shows a woman standing indoors with her face obscured by a large, red stamp-like overlay that reads "EXPOSED" in capital letters. Below the word, there's an additional message that says "WE ARE LOOKING FOR AMBASSADORS DM US TO APPLY" in white lettering against a semi-transparent black background. The woman appears to be dressed formally, indicated by a black garment and a pearl necklace. The environment suggests an indoor setting with soft lighting and a blurred background, in a room with a window to her left.
